Based in San Francisco, Dr. Peter (Pete) Killcommons has served as the chief executive officer of Medweb since establishing the medical software and device business in 1992. In this position, he manages all business operations, as well as all processes in the radiology, telemedicine, and disaster response divisions. He also leads the organization's philanthropy program. His innovations at Medweb, such as the invention of a web-based radiology viewer, have been profiled by various medical and media outlets, including the San Francisco Chronicle. In addition to his work as the executive leader of Medweb, Dr. Peter Killcommons has served on the American Telemedicine Association board of directors and the International Virtual Electronic Hospital, among other appointments.
Pete Killcommons completed his undergraduate studies at the City College of New York, graduating cum laude. He earned his medical degree at New York Medical College. Apart from his professional activities at Medweb, he is a supporter of charitable organizations such as the Wounded Warrior Project and Laughs for Troops. His interests include aviation, global travel, and cycling.
